Based in London, British and German-speaking Hannah Schmidt works in set and costume design in theatre, performance, and film. She is particularly interested in cultural exchange. Working internationally to converge ideas and approaches.
With a multidisciplinary background in visual art, she continues to explore new approaches to inform each project.

STAGE DEBUT UK AWARD WINNER
The Passenger (Finborough Theatre, London)
Personal Values (Hampstead Theatre, London)
Why they won: Schmidt’s in-the-round set and costumes for The Passenger conjured Nazi Berlin, while, in Personal Values, working as a costume designer and associate set designer, she helped depict the clutter of a hoarder’s home.
